1965 World Optics, Inc. is formed by Mr. Peter Cianci in Waltham, MA, primarily engaged in the manufacture of optical elements such as mirrors, lenses, prisms and windows.

1969 Photo Technical Research formed by Mr. Frank Denton and colleagues in Ann Arbor, MI., primarily engaged in holographic, replication, ruling and thin-film technology.

1972 World Optics, Inc. (then controlled by Mr. Peter Cianci) and Photo Technical Research, Inc. (then controlled by Mr. Frank Denton) merged to form PTR Optics Corporation (PTR) in Waltham, Massachusetts.

1975 PTR Optics Corporation was acquired by Gilford Instrument Laboratories of Ohio (Gilford), a well known medical instruments manufacturer.

1976 In 1976, Gilford formed a U.K. company, PTR Optics Limited (PTR Optics), to exploit the potential of the U.K. and European markets for optical components and services and to satisfy the requirements of the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) in England, which wanted to license a U.K. company to commercialize the replication of holographic gratings. Additionally, PTR Optics acted as an agent for the sale of PTR products in the U.K. and manufactured replicated holographic gratings.

1978 PTR Optics Corporation acquired the Interference Filter division of Baird Corporation (Bedford, MA.) for cash.

1980 In early 1980, Mr. Denton and his colleagues, Mr. Cianci, Ms. Lunardo, Mr. Worrall and Mr. Wood, formed a U.K. company, Optometrics (UK) Ltd., which purchased certain assets of Rank Optics in Leeds and started to manufacture optical components. Optometrics (UK) Ltd. started operations in Leeds in April 1980, managed by Mr. Worrall and Mr. Wood, both of whom had been managers of the Rank Optics operation.

1981 PTR Optics Corporation was purchased back from Gilford by Mr. Denton, Ms Lunardo and Mr. Cianci in a management buyout and merged with Optometrics (UK) Ltd to form Optometrics Corporation. In May 1981, Optometrics (UK) Ltd. acquired the issued share capital of PTR Optics Limited from Gilford.

1984 Optometrics Corporation did a private placing of 1,000,000 shares in the U.K. Subsequently, in 1984, the registration of the Holding Company was changed from Massachusetts to Delaware in preparation for the offering of shares in the company on the U.K. Unlisted Securities Market.

1985 Optometrics Corporation successfully offered a further 1,000,000 shares and became a listed company on the London Stock Exchange. In January 1985, 1 million shares were successfully placed enabling the Group to purchase further manufacturing and test equipment and to design and market a range of new products.

1989 In the summer of 1989 PTR Optics Corporation relocated from Waltham, MA to its newly built facility in Ayer, MA. and changed its name to Optometrics USA, Inc.

1997 Optometrics (UK) Ltd. sold to local private management group.

2001 Optometrics USA, Inc. becomes Optometrics LLC, a management owned company under Frank Denton and Laura Lunardo In October 2001, Mr. Denton and Ms. Lunardo formed Optometrics LLC to acquire the assets of Optometrics USA, Inc. and the Company operated as a private, independently-owned Company.

2005 Optometrics LLC, is acquired by Dynasil Corporation of America (OTCBB: DYSL), to form Optometrics Corporation.
